-Firstly, I'd thought that Xanga had given up on me and would never load this weblog entry box. It's failed to load whenever I was able to get online over the period since my last entry (which, by the way, I personally thought was a pathetic try of a blog entry and I apologise.

-Secondly, I'd thought that everything was alright come 2009; but no, I haven't changed a single bit. As a matter of fact, everything has gone even more haywire than I had ever imagined how much 'haywire' could possibly get. I'm sorry if I might begin to ruin your fabulous start to a new year, but, ever since last August, everything has been spiralling into some oblivious depth of not knowing where to begin and where to end. I left the magazine (or, apparently, I had been "let go" according to some baseless sources); I had a major fallout with my father and I'd emancipated myself from being his son (yes, I live a telenovella); I have been enjoying an unending row of parties (trust me - it's not a good thing when you're spectating the way we party with the meow meows, heinnys, koteys et al.); being caught in the middle of dramatic situations between friends, causing dramatic situations (though not as intense as the '2003-2006 Shah')... you know what? this fucking list could go on and on.

-On the other hand and the much brighter side to life though, our (mine, Yasmin, Azri, Jimmy, Riz and Hariz's) events company is bulleting through the nightlife scene. I don't remember if I've blogged about it but we hosted the KL Fashion Week Opening After Party as well as a Christmas Eve party titled 'A 24-Karat Christmas' and both events were a major success with an overwhelming turnout of society's darlings, tasteful party-goers and celebrities such as Camelia and notorious Pinoy fashion blogger Bryan Boy. CRS (the acronym for Cool Real Sound), our events company, is also going to be hosting the wedding banquet and after party to a VIP, and from January through March, there's a packed lineup of events. I don't want to give out too much 'cause I firmly believe in things getting jinxed. Then there's Tongue in Chic (TiC) - I was meant to start around Christmas but due to the overloading work at CRS, it wasn't easy even attempting to put up five posts a month. Right now I'm actually trying to get a TiC post done simultaneously with this one but - dude! - it's major confusing working out the Typepad interface. Plus I have a three-month proposal to draw up for CRS' events.

-'Workaholic'. I never believed anyone was a workaholic until I came along my own way. Not having a 16-hour day job like the one at Envy Magazine is totally something else. I seemed to have lost control of myself (see above) because I finally understood what being a workaholic is. It's weird not having to rush into the office 2hrs late. It's weird not sitting in front of the PC square-eyed and concentrating on editing the horrendous grammar a contributor sends in. It's weird not having colleagues (sp?) on your nerves. I've come to terms that I am a workaholic because - you know what? - I'd rather have a fabulous job than have a relationship or good sex. I know. But come to think of it, I mean after I listed out the things I did at Envy Magazine; I don't think I'd want to go back to that sort of havoc environment. What I meant about being a workaholic is having something to do everyday and I think I'm enjoying doing events and writing part-time instead. But as many of you might know, not having a car is like being disabled. Being stranded at home doesn't make you a productive person; what more when you're stealing your neighbour's wi-fi connection. Useless.

-Anyway, my tummy is grumbling and I'm craving for everything on the menu at Delicious. Anyone willing to come pick me up and have a good nosh with me?
